Aleksandr Golovin

Tereshchenko (1886-1956) was a major Ukrainian landowner, financier, factory-owner, and patron of the arts. His art collection made a base for Ukrainian national museum of Russian art. Among his friend were Russian poet Alexander Blok and Fyodor Chaliapin. After the February Revolution of 1917 he became Minister of Finance and then Foreign Minister of Russia. After the October Revolution he was arrested but managed to escape abroad. There is a novel about him written by notable Russian philosopher Alexander Piatigorsky “Vspomnish strannogo cheloveka” (Remember the Strange Man) in 1999.
