Artwork Title: Rose of Shiraz

Rose of Shiraz, 1919

Hovsep Pushman

Three-quarter length of a seated young woman with a blue lacy shawl covering her head and much of her upper body. There is a blue pendant hanging over her forehead and a matching necklace visible above the multik-colored top she is wearing. Her hands rest in her lap, right over left, and the bottom part of her dress or her skirt is bright green. Her dark hair is parted in the middle, and she is looking directly at the viewer. There is a table holding an empty glass vase at her left and a dark violet background. (http://www.tnportraits.org/rose-of-shiraz-parthenon.htm)
