The girl at the door. Interior of the artist's house

Ivar Arosenius

Ivar Arosenius sought a personal form of artistic expression. He was inspired by the wild nature of Värmland in central western Sweden. But also by things such as Swedish folk art, Persian miniatures, medieval crafts and the Italian Renaissance. Arosenius owes his popularity to his illustration work and watercolors. His artistic breakthrough came a year after his early death. (http://www.groningermuseum.nl/nordic-art-ivar-arosenius-%E2%80%98het-meisje-aan-de-deur-interieur-van-de-kunstenaarswoning%E2%80%99)
