From the artist: "This was fun to do, the carving around the door is taken from a very early piece of carved sculpture, possibly Saxon (struggling to remember), it was originally going to be much more sinister, but I figured the publisher would reject it. I liked cropping Harry through the face, the kind of thing you should never do in illustration, which made me want to do it more."
