Alejo explores the possibilities of natural laws and physical forces by using ordinary household objects. In “Dinner Table,” there is a trio of themes - equilibrium, tension, and precariousness - that echoes the 3-sided shapes made by the length of thread that weaves its way around the three objects. The pencil stays suspended at the tip of a wooden table because of the glass and table acting as anchors for which the thread and pencil to pull against. http://blog.bransch.net/?cat=25
