Elisabeth Hermine Winterhalter (born December 17, 1856 in Munich, Germany, February 13, 1952 in Hofheim am Taunus) was the first female German doctors. As one of the first female doctors, she practiced as a gynecologist in Frankfurt am Main. In addition, she founded a first girls' school, today's Schillerschule. From 1911 she lived in Hofheim am Taunus with the painter Ottilie Roederstein, with whom she built a foundation. The Elisabeth-Winterhalter-Straße in the Niederursel district of Frankfurt is named after the doctor. (Google translation of https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elisabeth_Winterhalter)
