Teagan White

Part three of a triptych for The VACVVM "V1" group show. These are my interpretations of three different cryptids (animals or beings whose existence is disputed or rejected by biologists, but have been cataloged in the folkloric record through rumors, sightings, and anecdotal accounts). The Chupacabra: According to folk accounts, a spiny-backed creature that kills farm animals by draining their blood. Chupacabras are said to resemble a Mexican hairless dog or a raccoon/coyote with mange. Gouache & watercolor on paper with metallic gold gouache accents.
