Paintings for "Zenith & Nadir", my joint show with Lindsey Carr at Antler Gallery. Each piece is a stage in the life cycle that all organisms follow through the seasons, as well as corresponding to a phase of the moon and a festival day on the pagan Wheel of the Year. The waxing moon is said to be a time to plant the seeds of new ideas and grow them into a new path, until you can reap the fruits of your efforts on the full moon; the waning moon marks the ending of this journey, when you must tear down what no longer serves you and clear the way for your next endeavor. In the same way, the things birthed from Spring's fertility will mature through the year but must die off by Winter so that the cycle can go on.
