Here, Otto looks towards his wife, while she looks forwards directly and confidently into the camera. His placement slightly behind her emphasizes her position as his subject of primary interest. Nonetheless, she leans into him slightly, the white collar of her blouse echoing his pale shirt and her ribbons echoing his bow tie.
