The fifth day of creation depicted in this series of watercolor, gouache, shell gold, and platinum paint on linen-covered panel prepared with zinc white ground. On display at Harvard Art Museums. From the description in the museum: “Oscar Wilde, who admired the series when it was on display in London in 1877, wrote that the fourth angel bore a ‘crystal glow[ing] like a heated opal.'” Originally there were six panels but one is now lost.
