Made by: Faizallah Mughal Style Islamic 1770 (circa) India Farhad had been assured by Khusrau of Shirin’s hand if he could build a road through a mountain. when he was nearing the end of his labours, one of Khusrau’s counsellors came an told him that Shirin had died, an utter lie. At this, Farhad threw himself to his death from Mr. Bisutun. Here Shirin kneels beside Farhad and mouns him. This painting, loosely based on a composition by Mir K
