Franck Bohbot is a New York-based photographer & filmmaker.

With a cinematic and painterly approach to his work, he creates meticulously-crafted pictures that capture an enigmatic atmosphere, showing the mystery and dream-like quality of everyday places and everyday life with a unique attentiveness to the interplay of light and color.

He has collaborated with the Louvre Museum, Fashion Designer Paul Smith, and Nike and has been published all over the world including in New York Magazine, Wired, Time, Vogue, Bloomberg, The Independent, New York Times and National Geographic, to name a few.

Bohbot’s photographic work inhabits a space between reality and fantasy, documenting and storytelling, every frame – to borrow a phrase from Nan Goldin – like a still from a nonexistent film.

Franck Bohbot (born November 12, 1980); New York-based photographer known for his portraits and color photographs of public spaces and urban scenes.

Bohbot was born in a suburb of Paris in 1980 and moved to New York City in 2013.

National Geographic described Bohbot as "a master of interior and exterior spaces".

Wired wrote on Franck Bohbot’s Chinatown Series “The series draws directly from the visual vocabulary and tonal palette of cinema. Many of the pictures bring to mind the unmistakable look of Blade Runner. The heavy atmosphere in these photos seems loaded with a sense of drama, like a portal into some modern noir film".

ArchDaily wrote "Bohbot embraces quasiperfect symmetry, creating a surreal quality and invoking a sense of curiosity with each image".

Bohbot's work has appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Wired, National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, ‘'Vogue Magazine, and L'Obs. Bohbot was commissioned by the Louvre Museum to make photographs of their gallery interiors in 2013.
