Ballet Skirt or Electric Light1927 by Georgia O'Keeffe

"This piece was originally visualised by O’Keeffe as an abstract representation of a white rose. Later, when it was exhibited as part of the Art Institute of Chicago’s 1943 artist retrospective, O’Keeffe retitled the painting. I find that the newer description gives the piece a dynamic energy that isn’t present when you see the depicted form as a static flower."
