Frauenbildnis (Portrait of Ria Munk III)1918 by Gustav Klimt

"Executed between 1917-1918, the painting is a posthumous study of Ria Munk.... one of 3 commissioned by Aranka Munk, wife of a Viennese industrialist, after the death of her daughter in 1911. Ria committed suicide at the age of 24 because of an unhappy love affair....left incomplete in Klimt’s studio when the artist died in 1918.
