Memories of Max1991-1995 by Howard Hodgkin

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Howard Hodgkin, one of the great abstract painters of our time. Known for his paintings rendered in broad swathes of rich, saturated pigments, the British artist conveyed emotion and memory through his unique use of color and gesture. Last year, we were pleased to exhibit six outstanding paintings by Hodgkin as part of Embracing the Contemporary: the Keith L. and Katherine Sachs Collection. March 9, 2017.
