The Bamboo Screen1912 by James Roy Hopkins

Hopkins's Bamboo Screen (ca. 1912) shows the influence of his year-long trip to the Orient in 1904-­1905. The subdued palette, assymetrical design, and props are Japanese-inspired, though the sculptural delineation of the figure is more Western in nature.
