Marie Wandscheer

Marie Wandscheer lived and worked in Amsterdam until 1895, then in Ede. She received her training in the famous 'ladies class' of the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. There she met, among others, the Amsterdam joffer Lizzy Ansingh, with whom she became friends. Marie Wandscheer drew, painted and made pastel still lifes and florals,, but was also known for her figures, interiors and many beautiful portraits. In Ede she learned etching from Willem Witsen when he lived there from 1893 to 1902 in Villa Zonneberg. [Googe translation of https://www.simonis-buunk.nl/kunstwerk/wandscheer-m-w/7902/]
