Unknown Tibetan artist from Purang-Guge. Sargam Gyi Mechamma ( ས་རྒཾ་གྱི་སྨད་ལྕཾ་མ། ) riding a horse is the 'yulha' of the derelict village of Sargam (old Tibetan spelling = ‘Earthen Chest’), the place now known as Sergam ( གསེར་སྒཾ། = Golden Chest). In her right hand she grasps an anthropomorphic demonic figure/effigy. Her dress and veil are of western Tibetan or western Himalayan origin.
