Bedroom in Arles (third version)1889 by Vincent van Gogh

Bedroom in Arles (French: La Chambre à Arles; Dutch: Slaapkamer te Arles) is the title given to each of 3 similar paintings by van Gogh. His own title for this composition was simply The Bedroom. There are 3 authentic versions described in his letters, easily discernible from one another by the pictures on the wall to the right. This is the third version, end September 1889.

...Van Gogh created a smaller third version, now at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, as a gift for his mother and sister a few weeks after making the second. While the 3 paintings at first appear almost identical, when examined closely, each reveals distinct and unique details. (
