Ria Munk on her deathbed (1917/-18) [a different date from originally collected image.]

Klimt was asked to paint a posthumous painting of this young beauty who had killed herself after being rejected by her fiance, a writer who was far older than she was. Klimt made three paintings and had a big struggle with them.
