Artifact (Three)2014 by Lilli Carré

The Artifact drawings involve pairs of anthropomorphized forms investigating how two related images placed side by side will imply time and change, inviting narrative interpretation. Carré is interested how people read the space between two similar images or objects and these drawings are inspired by clay objects that she created, as well as some attempted to make but failed. The drawings reflect on the lack of control over the object in both its creation and its interpretation over time.
