The display of Martin Kippenberger’s “Zuerst die Füße (Feet First)” (1990) at the Museion Museum in Bolzano, Italy, led to a hunger strike by Italian politician Franz Pahl and the firing of museum director Corinne Diserens, who refused to take down the foggy-eyed amphibian.
